My Documenting Obsession

I've been documenting my life in any and all forms I can possibly get my hands on. Here's another attempt at that. I also love making lists so here's a list of all the way I like documenting my life:

Songwriting

I've been writing songs about my life and using it as a practice to process what's going on in my head since I was 12 years old. I think I've gotten pretty good at it if you ask me.

Photos

Taking pictures is something I find fun, but also curating them into different private albums and a comprehensive, chronological vsco feed that really shows what life looked like through my eyes at that point of time.

Videos/Vlogs

Not considering all the cringe vlogs I made as a teenager (an attempt at trying to capture myself at that specific place/time) I also like to make weekly youtube videos either ranting about my current hyperfixation or just a catch-up. These are videos that only me and best friend can see though :p

This Website

If you look at my previous productions of this site you'll really see the transformation of my aesthetic and experience through the years. I'm pretty proud of how consistent I've been with keeping this up to date and I think this is such a fun creative aspect of my online presence. Glad you're here!

Books

If you can't already tell, I'm absolutely obsessed with data and have been tracking the books I've been reading on storygraph pretty obsessively since 2021. Before that I spent hours building a complete database to fit my exact needs on Notion. Here's a snippet if you're curious.

Movies

I'm also a massive cinephile, courtesy of my dad who has been a hardcore fan of Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and the Terminator movies specifically (something that is passed down genetically I'm pretty sure). I've tried building many versions of movie tracking apps, the most recent and most complete one is the local obsidian app I built using just markdown files and some plugins and then connecting it to the IMDB API. It has a really quick search and field updater. I also now use LetterBoxd and if I don't log a movie in the 5 minutes after I finish watching it I think I might actually pass out. Here's some fun stats from last years letterboxd - evidence of Harry Potter + Marvel Marathons happenning annually. LetterBoxd 2025 Wrapped
